I read every message and usually answer within a few days. If something broke, tell me what you tapped and which iPhone you have, or use REPORT A PROBLEM in the game’s Settings.

Common questions

How do I turn notifications on or off?

In the game: Settings → Notifications → the Leo’s story switch. On your iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Shepit.

If you once tapped Don’t Allow, the game can’t ask again. Turn them on in your iPhone’s Settings.

When does the next part of Leo’s story open?

At 9:00 your time, the morning after you finish the part before. The Library shows when, and with notifications on, your iPhone tells you.

How do I move my progress to a new iPhone?

Your progress is saved on your iPhone as you play. There is no account yet, so it moves with your iPhone’s data: restore the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, or transfer straight from the old one when you set it up.

Deleting the app deletes your progress from that iPhone.

How do I start again?

Settings → Your progress → RESET PROGRESS, then ERASE PROGRESS. It erases every saved night, your casebook and Leo’s story on this iPhone. It can’t be undone.

There’s no sound.

Turn the volume up. Then in the game, Settings → Sound & atmosphere: Music & ambience, Effects and Voices should be on. Shepit plays even with your iPhone’s silent switch on.

How do I delete my data?

Your game is kept on your device. RESET PROGRESS erases your progress. Deleting the app removes the rest from that iPhone, though an older backup still holds a copy. In a browser, clear this site’s data.

If you gave your email on this website, reply “stop” to any letter or write to me, and I’ll delete it. More on the privacy page.

Can I play in a browser?

Yes. Night 1 is free to try in your browser, and Leo’s story follows it. Your progress stays in that browser and doesn’t move to the iPhone app. Private browsing doesn’t keep it, and Safari may clear it if you don’t visit for about a week.
